"Your peaceful green place in the Loir Valley"

La Chartre is a lovely village, main village of its rural district of the south-east of Sarthe, distant of 45 km from major cities Le Mans, Tours and Vendôme. In a preserved natural environment, combining water, trees and vine, you can enjoy the cultural, artistic and architectural inheritance of this area. The Loir River and the Bercé forest offer trails for everyone, hiking, riding a bicycle or on horseback. Why not spending time at a good restaurant terrace or taking time to taste a local wine, Jasnière, in one of our wineries. You feel you want something intense, different? Enjoy riding a jet ski or a quad bike ... The campsite, with its 140 camping sites, is located in an outstanding setting, quiet and tree-shaded. On its 2.5 ha land on the riverbank, it is really appreciated by fishermen! Close by the city centre, you would find there all shops and services you could need. On the campsite you will also find at your convenience and for free a swimming pool with wading pool, a sports field with a French boules game field and a TV room with games. Activities are also often organised. Several services will make your stay comfortable and pleasant: Groceries; daily bred; snack bar; phone cards; stamps, envelops and fishing cards selling; bicycle renting; internet and fax spot; phone booth; washing machines and dryers ...
